Uflow Pneumatic Butterfly Valve
The Uflow Pneumatic Butterfly valve is actuated by a pneumatic actuator consisting of a metal disc that rotates around the body and initiates a sealing ring around the circumference of its elastic seat. The stem can be centered or offset. There is also a packing unit that provides an additional sealing ring for protection in the event the rubber seat is damaged in a fire.
The reason is a 1/4 valve, you only need to turn the lever 90 degrees to be able to fully open the valve. In large plants such as refineries and power generation facilities, high performance butterfly valves can be seen with a gearbox actuator and flywheel connection through its body. These are motorized valve actuators that trigger automatic valve opening and closing. Some of these valves have a switch so you can remotely monitor the position of the disc. So the function of the flywheel in this type of system is to use it in an emergency when there is no power.
